Chartered Speed Offers EV-Based Transport Services In GIFT City

Renowned and well-acclaimed mobility solutions company, Chartered Speed Ltd. (CSL) announces the commencement of electric vehicle (EV) fleet operations in GIFT City- India’s first Smart City and International Financial Services Centre (IFSC). As part of its first phase, the company launches four EV Buses and twenty e-bikes to meet the high demand for public transportation at GIFT City in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. Chartered Speed also mentioned that the number of buses is set to increase to 50 over a period of 12-18 months as well. 

Managing Director & Group CEO of GIFT City, Mr.Tapan Ray, flags off the services in presence of Mr. Pankaj Gandhi, Managing Director and CEO of Chartered Speed Ltd. In this regard, they mentioned that commuters can choose convenient subscription options, pre-book seats on buses and also find a bike for their travel route. These travel services will cover three destination points- 2 in Ahmedabad and 1 in Gandhinagar.

Tapan Ray, MD & Group CEO, GIFT City said, “As GIFT City continues to set benchmarks with its increasingly global and national importance, sustainable development and innovation have become an integral part of GIFT’s progress. The commencement of its EV fleet by Chartered Speed has opened a new chapter in green mobility solutions. This will provide an easy, convenient and sustainable mode of transport for those commuting to GIFT City.”

Sanyam Gandhi, CEO & Director, Chartered Speed Ltd., said, “We are extremely happy and excited to start our EV fleet services at renowned GIFT City for their internal and intracity movements. By the completion of all the phases, we will potentially reduce 7,000 vehicles from entering Gift City and reducing unnecessary traffic from Ahmedabad- Gandhinagar Highway.”

“We are fully committed to providing the agreed number of fleets with GIFT city and aim to increase the number of fleets in phases. The availability of EV transport services in a well-known global financial hub like GIFT City will not only encourage green mobility but will also its acceptance across the country.” He added

As for the buses, they come equipped with wifi and mobile charging sockets for the convenience of their passengers while providing utmost comfort. Further, Chartered Speed will be operating and maintaining the fleet according to the press release.
