Critically acclaimed and well renowned commercial vehicle manufacturer, Tata Motors is surging in terms of sales and profits as per the reports of July 2022. The brand seems to be making progress in sales this month, even after the Covid slowdown experienced this year. Tata Motors claims to have secured a total growth figure of 43 per cent in July 2022 as compared to July 2021.

Further, according to the latest reports from Tata Motors’ commercial wing, the company has managed to get record sales even despite the COVID-pandemic slowdown in production and sales. The company manages to get a 57.34% YoY growth in June. Moreover, the brand records sales of 8,522 units in July 2022 compared to last year this month, wherein, it sold only 5416 units.

As for the small commercial vehicles segment (SCV) which consists of pickups and cargo hauling vehicles, the brand has witnessed a growth of 23 per cent. Furthermore, a sale figure of 15,022 units in July 2022 is reported as compared to 12,198 units in July 2021. 

Also, the brand claims to have grabbed on to significant and substantial growth in the number of intermediate and light commercial vehicle sales figures. A year-on-year (YoY) growth of 33.3 per cent has been recorded as compared to July 2021. It has reported a sales figure of 4475 units in July this year which is a huge achievement for the company when compared to the downturn in the intermediate and light commercial vehicle sales last year 2021.

In the commuter and passenger vehicle segment, the brand clocked 3454 unit sales figures as of July 2022 when compared to the previous year, the same month, which was only 825 units. 

Nonetheless, a 319 per cent YoY growth for the passenger carriers in the domestic market has also been recorded. 

Total commercial vehicle and domestic sales have witnessed a surge and a total increase of 44 per cent as compared to the July 2021. Finally, taking export into consideration, the brand has achieved sales of 2681 units in July 2022 which was only a 2052 unit sales figure, last year July 2021. A total of 34,154 units were sold as per the export and import data recorded by the brand, Hence, an increase of 43 per cent is witnessed. 

Thus, the above-mentioned details are the sales report of Tata Motors’ commercial wing.
