It is crucial for the transport network in India to enhance in terms of technology to benefit society at large.
In this regard, the third edition of Prawaas is underway to showcase what the future of public transport in India will look like and for enhancing the adoption of public transport by the citizens of the country.
Prawaas 3.0, the 2022 event will continue to carry on the legacy in the same manner as the previous year. However, this year’s theme of the Indian international vehicles event will be titled “Towards Safe and Smart Sustainable Passenger Mobility.” The Bus and Car Operators Confederation of India (BOCI), a national apex body of fleet owners will be hosting the Prawaas 3.0, one of South Asia’s largest gatherings so far. The event is conducted under the support of the Ministry of Road Transport and Shipping ( MoRTH) which is believed to enhance the network and participation of stakeholders in the commercial vehicle industry collectively.
Prasanna Patwardhan President of BOCI provides a statement with respect to the event, “I hope and pray that Prawaas 3.0 would prove to be a successful vaccine, which would bring the Passenger transport sector out of its long overstretched dull period and generate new enthusiasm and fighting spirit amongst all the stakeholders.”

- Ashok Leyland: has already launched an innovative 13.5m Bus Chassis in India. The brand claims that the 13.5m intercity bus chassis (4X2), presents 20% additional passenger capacity (36 sleeper berths) when compared to its 12m intercity chassis (30 sleeper berths).
- Tata Motors: has showcased its 13.5 meters front-engine equipped bus at the Prawass 3.0 event- the Magna Sleeper coach. The brand also offered a glimpse of its Ultra Electric bus meant for staff transportation, the LPO 10.2 CNG AC which is a school bus and finally, the Starbus CNG.
- The Volvo 9600: a European-designed based 15m and 13.5m intercity coach have been launched at the event as well. Initially, Volvo India will be offering sleeper and seater coaches with dimensions rated 15m (6×2) and 13.5m (4×2). As for the bus, it rolls off the showroom floor with 15.1 cubic metres of luggage space, 47 seating capacities on the 13.5-meter coach and 36 people carrying capacity in the sleeper coach version.
- Eicher 13.5m Intercity Coach: was also showcased at Prawass 3.0 which is a mid-premium HD bus. It rolls off the factory with a VEDX5 engine that has the capacity to offer a maximum power of 240hp and torque of 900Nm.
