Leading and renowned electric two-wheeler manufacturer of India, Hero Electric announces a new strategic partnership with Spoctech Green Ventures under which the brand will deploy a fleet of over 5,000 electric vehicles in Chennai in the timeline of next two years, in order to enhance EV adoption and help the brand further establish a strong presence in the market.
Under the new strategic partnership, the two companies will collectively focus on attaining their vision of electrification and enhancing EV adoption by last-mile delivery companies in order to help achieve the decarbonisation goals of the country.
In this regard, Spoctech, a next-generation platform which links clean technology with Fin-tech solutions has also announced the launch of e-mobility services in Chennai with its EV Aggregator Platform- Zero Emission Mobility Platform (ZeMP).

As for the platform ZeMP, it provides customized solutions to supply chain companies, operators, merchants, and riders to adopt electric vehicles (EVs). As per recent reports, the company basically provides electric vehicles on subscription, lease-to-own and swappable models. With respect to this, the brand has stated that this platform helps customers pick EVs as per their precise requirements.
Commenting on the partnership, Sohinder Gill, CEO, Hero Electric said, “India is rapidly scaling infrastructure to promote EVs as the new age mobility port aligned with its pledge to reduce 40% of its fossil fuel consumption by 2030. In a growing economy, electrification of urban freight transport becomes increasingly important to suit diverse demands cost-effectively.”

Hero Electric has also mentioned in a press release that the brand is working towards the expansion of its manufacturing footprint across the country and also its distribution network in India. It is said that Hero Electric is all set to construct a new mega EV manufacturing plant which delivers an annual production capacity of 2 million units. It also signed an MoU with the Rajasthan Government to further strengthen this goal. Apart from this, the brand is also planning to ramp up its dealership network across the country.
With respect to this, Sohinder Gill added- “This partnership is another step in advancing our vision of achieving net zero emissions by 2030 and generating further employment opportunities in the overall sector and country.”
