India is taking big strides towards a cleaner and greener future with the unveiling of a Research and Development (R&D) roadmap for the “National Green Hydrogen Mission.” This ambitious initiative, by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, aims to create a strong R&D ecosystem to support the development and commercialization of green hydrogen. In the initial phase, the mission is all about achieving quick results. Mission mode projects, which are expected to show results within two to three years, are the top priority. The government has allocated a budget of Rs 400 crores for this R&D mission. If these projects prove successful, more funds are likely to follow.
