Mahindra launches Mileage Guarantee for its entire range of BS6 OBD II trucks

Mahindra has initiated the industry’s first ‘Get more mileage or give the truck back’ campaign to tackle the fuel rise problem and changing regulatory standards. Mahindra’s Truck and Bus Division (MTBD), a part of the Mahindra Group, has revamped their entire BS6 OBD II range of BLAZO X, FURIO, OPTIMO & JAYO range of HCV, ICV & LCV trucks.

The new range of vehicles has the 7.2 mPower Engine (HCVs) and mDi Tech Engine (ILCV) with FuelSmart Technology. To lower the Ad Blue Consumption there is mild EGR with an After Treatment System along with iMAXX Telematics solution. All these features help in providing guaranteed higher mileage for the new range of trucks.

A complete intense fuel efficiency testing of both diesel and Ad Blue has been conducted across 21 product categories which includes 71 models. The testing has been done on a variety of road conditions and lasted for more than 1 lakh kilometers. The testing process was done under the supervision of an independent credible agency whose results have elevated Mahindra’s position to another level in the commercial vehicle industry.

Mahindra Leadership on the latest launch

Speaking on the announcement, Vinod Sahay – President of Trucks, Buses, CE, Aerospace & Defence Businesses – Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, Member of Group Executive Board, Mahindra Group, said, “The ‘Get More Mileage or Give The Truck Back’ guarantee across the truck range is a landmark move that reflects our superior high-tech expertise, profound understanding of the segment and evolving needs of our customers. This mileage guarantee program is supported by extensive fluid efficiency testing and demonstrates our unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. With such initiatives, Mahindra is well-positioned to win over customers and become India’s leading commercial vehicle player.”

Mr. Jalaj Gupta, Business Head – Commercial Vehicles, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. said, “Our vehicles’ superior technological prowess has resulted in higher fluid efficiency. It was in 2016 when we launched the Mileage guarantee in the BS3 range. Thereafter we continued this in BS4 & BS6 OBD1 and now launching in BS6 OBD2, which will help increase the profitability of transporters. We have seen an increasing impact on transport clients’ margins as fuel costs rise without corresponding increases in freight rates. We saw the need to improve engine efficiency further to meet new standards and exceed customer expectations. The new mileage guarantee, embodied by the motto “Zyada Mileage Nahin toh Truck” will provide unmatched value to our customers.”

Mahindra innovation in their range of commercial Vehicles

The iMAXX telematics technology used in the Mahindra trucks helps in real-time monitoring and optimization of fleet operators. The Driver Information System on the Mahindra trucks tells about the vehicle performance and driver conduct which ensures better performance.

The service network of Mahindra trucks and buses is expanding to various new locations and currently has more than 400 plus touch points including 80 3S dealerships and over 2900 Roadside assistance service points.
