New STEYR Plus Tractors Nominated for Farm Machine 2024

In a significant development, the newly introduced STEYR Plus tractor range has made it to the list of nominees for the highly esteemed Farm Machine 2024 award. The STEYR Plus series has earned its place as a finalist in the Compact Tractors category, one of twelve distinct sectors where manufacturers can propose their groundbreaking machinery developments for consideration. The winners of this prestigious award will be unveiled on November 14 at Agritechnica 2023, an event set to take place in Hanover.

All these remarkable machines are also in the running for the Audience Choice Award. Voting for this award is open to the public and can be done on the farmmachine.eu/en/ website. The voting period commences from October 9th and continues until November 11th, 2023. During this time, everyone has the opportunity to cast their vote for their favorite product once every day.

The STEYR Plus models comprise five variants, each offering power ranging from 80 to 117hp. These tractors succeed the Kompakt range and enter a segment of the tractor market that commands the highest sales volume in Europe. They have been designed to meet the evolving needs of smaller farms while catering to the demands of larger enterprises that require more from compact tractors.

These models come with several performance enhancements, such as a 25% increase in the maximum hydraulic pump output, going from 64 l/min to 80 l/min. There’s also a notable 13.5% surge in the rear hitch lift capacity, climbing from 4,400kg to 5,000kg. Furthermore, they offer an increase in permissible gross vehicle weight from 6,500kg to 7,000kg and accommodate a larger maximum rear tire size of 420/85 R38.
